Brian J. O’Connell Recognized as Panelist of the American Arbitration Association
Brian J. O’Connell of Strauss Troy has recently been named a panelist of the American Arbitration Association – National Roster of Arbitrators for Construction Disputes. The not-for-profit American Arbitration Association® (AAA®)-International Centre for Dispute Resolution® (ICDR®) is the largest private global provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services in the world.
Brian is a shareholder and chair of the Strauss Troy Construction Law Practice Group where he has over 30 years of experience as a commercial litigator and trial attorney, with a concentration in construction litigation for the last 20-plus years.
With broad expertise in construction litigation, Brian has represented engineers, architects, contractors, and owners in construction-related claims, ranging from cost overruns to property damage, defective work to scope changes, delay to personal injury and acceleration to liquidated damages. Brian has represented clients in dozens of arbitration disputes as an advocate including several, which went to final hearing and arbitrator’s award.
Brian recognizes and addresses the challenges facing today’s construction industry and uses his knowledge to work proactively with clients at the start of projects in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts to maximize protections and minimize risk for the client.
