Schmidt and Braun Named Co-Chairs of Litigation Department

Strauss Troy, Co. LPA announced today that shareholders Stephen S. Schmidt and Joseph J. Braun, both of its Cincinnati office, have been appointed as the firm’s Litigation Department Co-Chairs.

Schmidt and Braun have each served on the firm’s Board of Directors, and have extensive experience representing clients in courts and arbitration proceedings across Greater Cincinnati and beyond.

Schmidt is a business litigator who represents and advises clients across various industries in both commercial and consumer disputes, including partnership disputes, non-compete, trade secrets, insurance coverage, and construction disputes. He also assists clients with contract drafting and negotiation and corporate compliance and handles matters involving breaches of contract, asset recovery, and a range of business torts in state and federal courts in Ohio and Kentucky, and in arbitrations around the nation.

Braun has served critical roles on Strauss Troy’s litigation team, helping spearhead numerous complex class-action matters representing individuals with claims involving consumer products and medical devices and handling personal injury cases and business disputes. He also has extensive experience advising and representing local governments and municipalities.

The firm’s litigation department has a 70-year track record of success and has earned a reputation for successfully resolving large and complex cases before state and federal courts, administrative agencies and in alternative dispute resolution forums.
