Strauss Troy welcomes three new attorneys
Strauss Troy welcomes Julie Hopkins, Bo Howell, and Austin Stevenson to the firm. The additions will complement Strauss Troy's labor and employment, corporate law and securities law practice areas.
Julie K. Hopkins is an experienced labor and employment advisor and problem solver. She works with diverse clients across a variety of industries to consistently provide the strategic guidance and support that enables organizations to more effectively and efficiently advance their goals while ensuring that their responsibilities to key internal and external stakeholders are met. Julie is adept at addressing complex commercial and personnel issues in M&A transactions, and she has significant experience working with clients to design and implement organizational security policy and controls, build privacy programs to address new and continually evolving obligations under various domestic and foreign data privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and address incident response and notice obligations that may arise when an organization or its vendors have a data breach.
Bo J. Howell primarily practices in the area of securities law, with an emphasis on investment management law. He also practices in the areas of corporate law and entity formation, and general business law. Bo has extensive experience in all aspects of investment management law, including fund formation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance. He also has a wide range of experience in counseling businesses through a full range of matters, including capital structure, key contracts, and more. Bo is also a fintech entrepreneur and his background and experience give him a unique ability to provide practical legal solutions his clients’ issues
R. Austin Stevenson focuses his practice on general corporate and business law, litigation, labor and employment, and real estate. Originally from Wheelersburg, Ohio, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from NKU and his law degree from University of Kentucky College of Law.
