Michael R. Tontillo
Biography
Mike Tontillo’s practice reaches all corners of labor and employment law, including ERISA compliance, wage and hour disputes, leave management, disability accommodation, and more. Mike spends most of his professional time offering prophylactic advice to help his clients stay out of legal trouble and to keep them abreast of new developments in the law. However, Mike also represents clients after claims have been filed, including in federal collective action suits, federal and state discrimination charges, unfair labor practice charges, and complex multiemployer pension fund disputes.
Having previously worked as a teacher before transitioning into the law, Mike is especially adept at explaining complicated legal concepts in straightforward terms that non-attorneys can easily understand. Whenever possible, Mike looks for practical solutions that allow his clients to accomplish their business objectives without taking on undue legal risk.
Mike is a former Division 1 swimmer and an Eagle Scout. Mike spends his spare time supporting the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds, playing pub trivia, and beating his law school friends at online chess.
