For more than 30 years, the Strauss Troy local government law group has been widely respected for the advice and counsel we provide to local governments, elected officials, and administrative agencies across the Tri-State area. We represent many local governments as general and special counsel and currently serve in the role of Solicitor and Law Director in others. Our work covers all aspects of government representation from assisting with day-to-day municipal operations to long-term planning at the local, county, state, and federal levels.
Strauss Troy attorneys currently serve as the Law Director or Solicitor in the following Ohio communities: Miami Township, Ohio Township, Springdale, Loveland, Wyoming, Woodlawn, Newtown, Georgetown, Bethel, and Moscow. In Kentucky, our attorneys represent the Pendleton County Planning Commission, the Bracken County Planning Commission, and the Verona Fire Protection District.
Our local government representation includes: preparing legislation, contract drafting and review, zoning and land use planning, real estate development, economic development (including tax incentives, abatements, and municipal finance matters), public records and open meetings law, election law, employment and labor law, litigation, eminent domain, annexation and providing prosecutorial services in mayor’s courts.
