Since 1974 the Auglaize County Humane Society in Wapakoneta, OH, has sheltered lost and surrendered animals in the community. As a non-profit, the shelter had recently fallen on hard times and wasn’t sure if it could continue to stay open. In hopes of saving the shelter, they organized a Save Our Shelter Campaign asking the Auglaize County community to support their mission.

It may be the middle of winter, but volunteer leaders of Ault Park are thinking about warmer weather when much of a $350,000 grant will be put to work to restore the park’s five-mile hiking trail network and make improvements to the children’s playground.
